They are seeking a telemetry monitor technician/observer who will monitor cardiac rhythms, report changes, and function as a hospital unit clerk, ensuring excellent communication and coordination within the unit.

Responsibilities
Critically monitor/observe the cardiac rhythms of multiple patients on the cardiac monitor
Promptly report any rhythm changes by communicating to the appropriate registered nurse with escalation until a confirmation response is received
Maintain telemetry box equipment and confirm that the identified telemetry box in use on the patient matches that on the cardiac monitor
Print rhythm strips and be competent in rhythm analyses
Function in the role of a hospital unit clerk (HUC)
Provide excellent communication ability with patient families, patients, visitors, and all hospital employees
Serve as a unit receptionist and welcome visitors, directing them appropriately
Respond to and coordinate phone communications, orders, and monitor clerical supplies/inventory and forms
Clean work areas
Complete unit competency assessments, annual safety review, and maintain continuing education units if applicable and as required by hospital policy

Required
Basic arrhythmia class with certification for COU/ICCU
