Pape' Group is a premier medium and heavy-duty truck and equipment dealer in the West, seeking a Premier Truck Technician / Mechanic to join their team. The role involves leading complex diagnostics and repairs for Class 7 & 8 trucks, providing mentorship to other technicians, and ensuring high standards of safety and quality in all tasks.

Responsibilities

Oversee and perform precision diagnostics and repairs for medium and heavy-duty Class 7 & 8 trucks

Provide guidance and mentorship to other technicians

Troubleshoot and repair engines, transmissions, axles, steering, brakes, clutches, electrical systems, and air systems

Execute preventive maintenance programs to ensure long-term reliability for customers

Support customers’ success by minimizing downtime and ensuring every repair is completed right

Maintain operational excellence within the shop, promoting teamwork and fostering a culture of continuous improvement

Required

7 or more years of experience working on all makes and models of medium and heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks, including engine repair, electronic trouble-shooting, HVAC systems, and chassis repair

Self-motivation and assertiveness

Ability to work under little or no supervision

Excellent communication and customer relations skills

Must provide own tools

Preferred

Kenworth Essentials certifications preferred

Basic computer knowledge

Cummins and MX software experience preferred
