Senior D365 Finance & Operations Business Analyst
Troon is seeking a highly experienced and proactive Senior D365 Finance & Operations Business Analyst to join their team. The role involves configuring and supporting D365 F&O, collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure successful system adoption.
Responsibilities
Support & Configure D365 modules to meet business requirements
Accounts Payable (including Exflow)
General Ledger (including Financial Reports)
Accounts Receivable (subscription & project billing)
Fixed Assets
Cash & Banking (including Treasury Automation Suite – bank recon, positive pay, EFT)
Configure and Setup new legal entities, including all necessary financial components as well as drive configuration consistency between all entities
Configure and Set up Co-pilot for certain modules
Assist with building, maintaining & fixing workflows
Document customizations, configurations, and workflows
Participate, Develop & Own Robust QA/Regression Testing
Provide technical support to D365 users, troubleshooting, reperforming & resolving problems in a timely manner
Develop and deliver training materials (as needed) and sessions to educate users on D365 functionality and best practices – especially new features in upgrades
Act as a point of contact for user inquiries and escalations, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
Stay informed about new features, updates, and best practices related to D365
Proactively identify opportunities to optimize and enhance the D365 environment to better support business processes and objectives
Participate in ongoing process improvement initiatives to streamline workflows and increase efficiency
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Accounting or related field
D365 F&O Expertise: 5+ Years - Extensive hands-on experience as a Business Analyst or Consultant with D365 F&O finance modules
Full Lifecycle Project Experience: Proven experience leading and delivering complex finance-specific projects, from initial scoping to go-live and support
Financial Process Knowledge: Deep understanding of core financial processes including P2P, O2C, and the month-end close cycle
Technical Skills: Experience with workflow configuration and security setup within D365 F&O
Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to analyze business processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose effective solutions
Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical and financial concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Must be naturally curious
Preferred
Microsoft certifications in Dynamics 365 or related technologies (e.g., MCSA: Microsoft Dynamics 365, MCSE: Business Applications) are a plus
Must be a self-starter with the ability to take initiative and drive positive changes
Experience and maturity to handle confidential and sensitive data and information
In-depth understanding of accounting systems, business processes, industry standards & internal controls
Strong organizational skills, including ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency w Excel and data analytics in general
Knowledge of the D365 Expense Management module
Experience with intercompany relationships and configurations
Familiarity with financial reporting tools
Familiarity with document template tools like Docentric a plus
