They are hiring an Energetics Process Engineer to manage industrial processes and equipment, ensuring operational optimization, safety compliance, and team development.
Responsibilities
Process Design: Create and improve industrial processes and equipment for large-scale production
Research & Development: Conduct research, test new chemistries, and develop new products or improved methods
Optimization: Analyze data to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, minimize waste, and improve product quality
Safety & Compliance: Establish safety protocols, evaluate processes for environmental regulations, and ensure workplace safety. Monitor equipment for proper operation and maintenance
Manage and develop a small team across lab and production ops; schedule, train, and coach
Champion a safety-first, craftsmanship-driven culture aligned to defense-grade rigor
Qualification
Required
U.S. citizenship with compliance to REAL ID and defense-related requirements
BS or Masters in chemical engineering, plus 8 years industry experience
Familiarity with quality control, testing, regulatory, and manufacturing environments
Strong foundation in Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and Math
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication (verbal/written) and teamwork
Proficiency with IT, simulation software, and CAD
Commitment to safety, health, and environmental standards
Strong organizational and documentation skills
Preferred
Prior DCMA or DoD experience
Experience in explosives/energetics operations, magazines, and inventory controls
Team leadership (5–15+) and cross-functional project management
