They are hiring a Custodian for the Hyde Park, Chicago portfolio to maintain cleanliness in common areas, assist residents, and ensure compliance with company standards.

Responsibilities
Maintain leasing office, models, and interior public and common areas of the community in a neat, clean and attractive condition
Maintain all grounds, including sidewalks, public walkways, and stairways, building exteriors, garden areas in a neat, clean and attractive condition
Assisting in efforts to make vacant apartment homes rent-ready in a timely manner; assist in appliance installs and changes
Compact and remove trash and debris from community areas
Snow clearing during winter months; obstruction removal if affecting safety year round such as trash, branches, piles of leaves, etc
Complete assigned cleaning requests and repairs consistent with company operating standards and in a timely manner
Maintain company customer service standards. Respond to resident requests and work with residents to minimize/resolve problems and complaints. Follow through to ensure issue is completed to resident’s satisfaction
Apply all applicable Mac policies and procedures such as, but not limited to company operating and safety standards
Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local laws, specifically Fair Housing regulations
Qualification
Required
Valid driver's license and vehicle
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
Ability to identify cleaning and chemical supplies
Ability to frequently transport up to 50 pounds variable distances, the mobility and flexibility to use required equipment and to access and work in restricted spaces or at heights in excess of 8-9 feet
Ability to frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and climb (stairs, ladders, etc.)
ALL new hires will be required to successfully complete a criminal background investigation and a medical examination, which includes a drug screening, prior to employment
The receipt of satisfactory responses to reference requests, and the provision of satisfactory proof of an applicant's identity and legal authority to work in the United States are also required
Preferred
Previous experience in a janitorial role is a plus but not required
