Associate Vice President, HR Operations

Responsibilities
Collaborate with CHRO and AVP of HR Strategy in designing and regularly assessing/updating the HR vision and goals to advance HR strategies that align with the institution's mission, values, and long-term goals
Support and enhance the effectiveness of the HR leadership team by coordinating cross-functional initiatives and facilitating alignment across HR centers of excellence to ensure consistency, efficiency, and innovation in HR service delivery
Responsible for the input, implementation, and identification of problem areas for all HR transactions and service delivery processes and recommend solutions
Implement tools and practices aimed at improving Human Resources’ service to the campus community, designing appropriate measurements to ensure continued improvement
Provide strategic direction for the development of reporting and metrics from the HRIS systems that can be used to inform leaders to make more effective employee decisions
Oversee analysis of human capital data and develops presentations to communicate findings on metrics, trends, and variances
Serve as the project leader for all new projects involving HR data, system changes, and implementation of new software
Monitor and ensure the university's compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations, recommending best practices as needed, developing and implementing policies and procedures to support the university's HR compliance needs
Responsible for the management of areas reporting into the role, including hiring, performance management, development and coaching, and employee relations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in Human Resources, Business or related field
Ten (10) years of experience in multiple areas of HR Operations with at least five (5) years of progressive leadership
Preferred
An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field
SHRM-CP, SHRM SCP, PHR or SPHR certification highly desired
Experience with data analytics, process improvement and project management
Experience with HR Information Systems, with emphasis on Workday
