Responsibilities
Handle insurance and commercial litigation cases from start to finish, including legal research, drafting motions, pleadings, and discovery responses, as well as preparing for depositions, mediations, and trials
Work directly with global insurers and Fortune 500 clients, providing legal counsel on policy coverage, risk assessment, and dispute resolution across industries like construction, energy, and transportation
Partner with senior attorneys and firm leadership to develop litigation strategies, participate in mentorship opportunities, and gain multi-jurisdictional experience through the firm’s national presence
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Active license to practice law in Illinois
Experience in insurance and commercial litigation
Strong legal research and writing skills
Ability to handle cases from start to finish
Experience with drafting motions, pleadings, and discovery responses
Experience preparing for depositions, mediations, and trials
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work directly with clients, including global insurers and Fortune 500 companies
Preferred
Experience in diverse industries such as energy, construction, hospitality, manufacturing, and transportation
Prior experience working in a multi-jurisdictional practice
Interest in professional development and mentorship opportunities
