Managing Director - Sponsor Coverage

Responsibilities
Lead coverage and relationship management of large cap to lower middle market PE firms to source, qualify, and structure new financing opportunities for PE backed deals
Maintain relationships with direct lending firms for partnership and co lend opportunities
Partner closely with product groups (Private Credit, Capital Markets, Technology Finance/ARR, ABL, AR Securitization, etc.)
Analyze and qualify initial deal opportunity, assess fit, and recommend pursuit of transaction
Prepare and present screening materials, credit analyses, and term sheet recommendations to senior leadership
Deliver, pitch, and negotiate term sheets; lead negotiations of commercial and legal terms
Manage due diligence workstreams across underwriting, legal, and syndication
Guide junior bankers in evaluating, structuring, and screening opportunities
Maintain market intelligence on sponsor activity, M&A trends, and competitive dynamics
Represent PNC Business Credit at sponsor meetings, conferences, and industry events
Manage pipeline and activity within the CRM platform
Leads business development activities for credit-based products through active solicitation and cultivation of highly complex client relationships
Prospects, maintains and leverages a highly developed network
Performs complex credit structuring and analyzes financial information to determine if the client's financing requirements meet PNC parameters
Develops comprehensive financing package structured to meet client needs, drive client acceptance and deepen share of wallet
Coordinates credit underwriting, due diligence and loan documentation with internal and external partners
Qualification
Required
University / college degree
8+ years of industry experience
Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions
Ability to leverage information in creating customized customer solutions
Assessing and effectively managing all of the risks associated with business objectives and activities
Demonstrate appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities for the role
