Budget Analyst

Cogir Senior Living, based in Scottsdale, Arizona, oversees a network of senior living communities across 11 states. The Budget Analyst will support the budgeting and forecasting process using Vena software, and will also engage in financial performance analysis and KPI reporting.

Responsibilities

Work closely with the Budget Manager:
Work with the Vena Budgeting and Financial Reporting software to prepare annual budgets and analysis
Assist with maximizing the capabilities of Vena, including making enhancements to the prior year model, adding new features to create a more efficient financial reporting environment, and maintaining/enhancing the data feed from 3rd party applications
Prepare annual budgets, cash flows, and forecasts
Support Other FP&A Initiatives And Objectives
Work with underlying business drivers, key financial and operating metrics, and financial sensitivity analysis
Assist with preparing forecasts and presenting financial results, as needed
Work on a performance management benchmarking platform and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs) linking company strategy with business outcomes
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual KPIs and other reporting responsibilities
Work with Power BI design, implementation, and reporting
Ad hoc analysis and projects as needed

Required

A strong academic background with a bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field is required
Experience with Vena or similar budgeting software is highly desired
At least 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis, asset management, underwriting, and/or FP&A
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel with fluency in x-lookups, index match, and pivot tables
Strong financial modeling skills
Strong analytical and financial management skills
Strong work ethic and ability to support multiple projects in parallel and prioritize competing demands under the pressure of time-sensitive deadlines
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
A true entrepreneurial spirit with the commitment and wherewithal to grow the Cogir Management USA platform collaboratively
Highly driven and motivated to join a team that offers a tremendous opportunity to grow personally and professionally
Must live within 30 miles of Scottsdale, AZ, with the ability to work in person out of our corporate office

Preferred

An MBA, MSF, MFin, MAFM, MA, or other relevant advanced degree is preferred but not required
Experience in the Senior Housing, Hospitality, Multifamily, or Commercial Real Estate industry is preferred, as is experience working with an Owner/Developer of senior housing, multifamily, or mixed-use projects
Experience or exposure to analytical visualization tools is a plus
