Responsibilities

This research project in the Sachs laboratory focuses on the development of integrated human organoid and organ-on-chip models that combine cardiac, hepatic, and hematopoietic compartments, to study drug responses and disease mechanisms
Experimental approaches include 3D culture systems, microfluidic platforms, advanced imaging, and quantitative computational analysis
This position requires expertise in human pluripotent stem cell culture and differentiation, 3D organoid culture, and microphysiological systems
Techniques include flow cytometry and cell sorting, immunofluorescence and confocal microscopy, qPCR and RNA-based analyses, protein assays, and functional phenotyping of cardiac, hepatic, and hematopoietic tissues
Responsibilities also include experimental design, data analysis, troubleshooting complex multi-lineage systems, and contributing to protocol development and optimization
Interaction with bioengineering collaborators and operation of automated or semi-automated culture systems
