APTIM is committed to accelerating the transition toward a clean and efficient energy economy, and they are seeking a highly motivated Project Manager with prior consulting experience to manage environmental compliance projects focused on hazardous waste management. The successful candidate will oversee projects from proposal through execution, ensuring quality performance and compliance with safety and budget standards.

Environmental Services

Responsibilities

Responsible for supporting the development of proposal scopes of work and cost estimates using internal cost estimating tools

Responsible for managing projects to ensure the successful completion of projects within established schedules and budgets

Planning and organizing projects

Communicating to client and project teams

Ensuring quality work performance, adherence to safety and compliance to schedule and budget

Manage day-to-day costs against budgets

Managing project resources

Prepare and approve project invoices

Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently

Serve as a team lead, providing guidance and oversight to junior staff on all active projects

Cultivate strong relationships with APTIM team members and clients in order to successfully deliver projects within designated timeframes

Use strong hazardous waste technical acumen to support hazardous waste determinations, profiling, regulatory reporting, and a wide range of standard and nonstandard applications

Required

Bachelor's degree in a core science (such as geology, chemistry, physics), engineering, environmental science, or related area required

10 years related experience

Minimum of 4 years related work experience in hazardous waste management

Minimum of 5 years of project management experience

Prior experience or training regarding environmental compliance and related federal and state environmental regulations desirable

Strong written and oral communication skills

Strong computer skills required. Must have a demonstrated strength and proficiency in Microsoft applications such as MS Excel, MS Word, SharePoint Online, etc. and the ability to learn other software applications

Willing to work in the field and travel to complete work

Preferred

Experience managing staff and projects for the commercial client industry

Experience managing environmental compliance requirements for the commercial client industry
