Responsibilities
Performing construction administration activities as needed for various structural projects
Supporting ongoing mechanical and electrical projects from a structural perspective
Performing sizing, layout, and coordination of structural and seismic support of equipment, ductwork, and piping for new and relocated scope
Researching codes for inspection requirements
Assisting with project submittals related to seismic and structural design
Generating accurate structural calculations
Exploring building information modeling concepts and practices when using BIM as a design platform
Utilizing both manual and packaged calculations software
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Must be pursuing or have a bachelor/masters degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering with a Structural focus or a related field
Junior student standing or higher required
Availability in Summer 2026 (May/June start until August/September depending on school)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be detail-oriented, well organized, and possess excellent follow-up skills
Must be self–motivated, able to multi‐task and work independently
Ability or aptitude to read and interpret construction plans, specs, contracts, proposals, estimates and other regularly encountered items
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio required
Must be 18 years of age or older
Preferred
Part-time availability after Summer preferred
Working knowledge of SharePoint and MS Project preferred
CAD experience through AutoCAD MEP or Revit preferred
