Occupational Therapist, Wilkes-Barre Pediatric Rehab Center (Full-time)
Allied Services is seeking an Occupational Therapist for their Wilkes-Barre Pediatric Rehab Center. The Staff Occupational Therapist will evaluate, plan, and implement treatment for patients in accordance with state laws, demonstrating knowledge and skills appropriate for patients of various ages.

Responsibilities
Evaluates, plans, and implements treatment for assigned patients referred to the Occupational Therapy program in accordance with the state law regarding the practice of Occupational Therapy in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served by his/her department – pediatric through geriatric
Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span
Possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status
Interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to their age-specific needs
Provides the care needed as described in the Outpatient and Occupational Therapy policies and procedures
Exercises functional supervision of COTA's and support personnel during clinical activities
Qualification
Required
Minimum of Bachelor's of Science degree in Occupational Therapy required from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy
Current licensure (or license eligible) as a registered OT by the PA State Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs
Must be cleared by PA State Police criminal history check and PA Department of Public Welfare Child Abuse Central Register (Childline) and Cogent
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; and interpersonal skills required for effective communication with staff, patients, and families
Valid PA driver's license required for travel
CPR Certification is required and must be maintained
Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide individualized care appropriate to the age specific need and culture of the patient served
Preferred
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy
One (1) to two (2) years Occupational Therapy experience
Certification in Thermal and Electrical Agents
Registration or registry eligible with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
