International Trade Compliance Analyst 1

Garmin is seeking a full-time International Trade Compliance Analyst 1 in Olathe, KS. In this role, you will support Garmin's import, export, and supply chain security activities, ensuring compliance with regulations and enhancing efficiency in cross-border operations.

Responsibilities

Work globally with multiple departments/teams within Garmin as well as outside partners (Customs Brokers, Freight Forwarders) and government agencies (Department of Commerce, Customs and Border Protection), to track and ensure compliance with regulations and increase efficiency in cross-border operations
Report classification information to Garmin Customs Brokers
Audit import and export documentation for accuracy and compliance
Perform basic classification of Garmin’s “finished good” products for import and export
Responsible for Denied Party (DPL) screening for export and managing red flags
File Electronic Export Information (EEI) for Garmin’s U.S. exports
Correspond with foreign Vendors/suppliers and the Garmin Sourcing team, to obtain documentation and information
Regulatory required record keeping
Compile international trade data for analysis and reporting in order to ensure global import, export and supply chain security compliance and measure effectiveness
Assist with the maintenance and implementation of standardized integrated international trade procedures, compliance implementations, and projects
Maintain good working relationships and actively cooperate with, internal and external customers, business partners, and applicable government agencies, to execute import and export best practices

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field
Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Must be positive, detail oriented, organized, team oriented and a driven problem solver, multi-tasker, and self-starter with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment
