People Business Partner
The United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee is seeking a People Business Partner who is mission-driven and passionate about helping others succeed. This role involves solving organizational challenges through people-related solutions, partnering with business leaders to design and execute strategies for staffing, onboarding, and employee development, while also managing various employee-facing programs.

Responsibilities
Build relationships with business leaders to offer thought leadership on organizational and people-related strategy and execution
Build relationships with teams and individual employees at every level of the organization to ensure all employees feel seen, heard, and supported in the work that they do
Develop a deep understanding of the assigned business functions to help inform the creation and implementation of people initiatives, programs, and strategies that effectively address business needs
Apply deep knowledge in P&C programs, services, and policies to communicate initiatives and serve as a liaison between assigned business group and P&C functional areas
Use discretion to determine when to engage and collaborate with broader P&C to meet business needs
Assist leaders and employees in understanding and applying people tools, policies, and procedures to maximize employee performance, achieve organizational effectiveness, improve employee engagement, and ensure legal compliance
Proactively maintain an open line of communication with leaders, P&C centers of excellence and employees on P&C-related issues, identifying and addressing employee concerns in a timely manner
Provide conflict resolution and guidance concerning performance management and employee relations issues and make recommendations on the appropriate course of action in partnership with the key stakeholders (business, P&C team, Legal, etc.) and work as the conduit to the USOPC’s third-party firm to maintain consistent processes
Partner with leaders to ensure completion of employee changes in people systems, including hiring, promotions, employee moves, compensation changes, leaves of absence, and terminations. Perform unemployment verifications
Provide support on-site at Olympic & Paralympic Games as assigned
Maintain accurate and compliant records of employment-related documentation in accordance with legal and organizational standards
Act as primary point of contact and project manager for business on all People programs and processes, including Talent & Career Planning, Performance Development, Engagement, Wellness, Total Rewards, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives, Learning, and other projects that impact the overall employee experience
Act as conduit between business and P&C to develop execution plans for rollout and completion of annual processes such as performance reviews, calibration, culture pulse survey, compensation and benefits, and headcount planning
Ensure business leaders and employees fully understand their process responsibilities, meet deadlines, and provide appropriate input
Coach leaders on leadership effectiveness, communication, change agility, etc. to maximize their impact on employees
Coach leaders on team effectiveness, culture, team dynamics, communication, partnership, collaboration, etc. to maximize their impact on their teams and business
Coach and advise leaders on employee development and performance management, including partnership on performance improvement plans
Serve as an advocate and coach for employees with concerns that may impact their individual job performance, team culture, and/or organizational culture
Administer DiSC, Crucial Conversations and other P&C focused training and/or development sessions for key stakeholders
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field and/or equivalent work experience
5+ years of experience in a HR generalist and/or business partner role
Professional HR experience including knowledge of EEOC law, employee benefits, and HR programs/procedures
Strong business acumen
Ability to influence and drive work through others without direct oversight
Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and teach others how to maximize potential within their roles and the organization
Ability to balance listening and sharing of own point of view
Ability to devise and execute innovative solutions, both strategic and tactical
Proven ability to develop collaborative business relationships and partnerships at all levels, from CEO and executives to front-line employees
Ability to bring the right people together to solve a problem
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Adept at navigating and resolving conflict
Ability to embrace change with ease
Ability to display curiosity without judgment
Analytical and data-driven
Exceptional proactive and responsive customer service skills
Excellent time management, prioritization, and follow-through
Preferred
PHR or SPHR a plus
Additional relevant professional certifications such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, SHRM Talent Acquisition, STA, PRC, CDR, SWP, ATM, SHRBP, etc. a plus
Experience in non-profit and/or sport industry preferred
