Responsibilities
Coordinates and performs responsibilities such as patient identification, recruitment, and offering enrollment in the Total Cancer Care study
Will need to be present to meet with scheduled patients as early as 5:30 am, M-F
Offer questionnaires to enrolled study participants regularly at the time of consent or via follow-up contact
Maintains information in patient databases and is responsible for data entry
Recognizes and informs study team of protocol deviations and participates in documentation of deviations
Assists the Total Cancer Care Program Manager and Associate Director with research and team related tasks
Works closely with the Biorepository and Molecular Pathology Shared Resource and investigators and ensures proper collection and processing of specimens
Is responsible to arrange coverage when not present
Performs other responsibilities as required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) required
IRB CITI Course in the Protection of Human Research subjects certificate obtained within six months of hire
Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills are also required
Some departments may require IATA DGR training within six months
This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated vaccination requirements, or be approved for an exemption, prior to the first day of work
Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description
Preferred
Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate the ability to interact effectively with patients, with other study team members and will be able to perform the essential job functions as outlined in the position description
