Responsibilities
Assist patients with frame and lens selection and education
Conducts measurements using appropriate optical tools and consults with Optician as needed
Check in all incoming orders to ensure quality and accuracy
Verify insurance eligibility and eyeglass/contact lens benefits
Collect payment for eyeglasses and contact lenses
Other duties as assigned by Optical Manager
Qualification
Required
High School graduate or equivalent
Strong customer service skills: communicator and listener
Dedicated to building patient relationships
Strong basic math skills
Awareness of and passion for current eye wear trends
Embrace new technology & change
Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment
Travel between Norwell, Norwood, and Quincy offices required
Preferred
Previous customer service & retail experience
Previous optical experience desirable
Bilingual skills in Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Spanish, and/or Portuguese a plus
