Administrative Support Assistant (OA)

Responsibilities
Maintain supervisor's calendar accordingly, providing reminders, and if necessary, briefing supervisor on items to be discussed prior schedules meeting
Assist supervisor and/or staff in gathering/complying a variety of presentation material for use in meetings, command briefings, training sessions, or publication
Type a variety of correspondence or reports using automated equipment and software programs
Prepare travel orders and travel vouchers, makes arrangements for government vehicle usage, and initiate all airline, hotel, and rental car reservations
Perform timekeeping and related duties
Qualification
Required
A qualified typist is required
Position requires Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) at least 25% of the duty time
Specialized Experience GS-05: One year of specialized experience which includes performing a variety of clerical assignments to support an organization, such as recordkeeping, replenishing supplies, and receiving visitors and phone calls
Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%
Specialized Experience GS-06: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Utilizing automated office software to prepare documents, correspondence, or spreadsheets; AND 2) Performing administrative support duties for an office such as travel vouchers, training coordination, file maintenance, or timekeeping
Time in Grade Requirement GS-05: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-04)
Time in Grade Requirement GS-06: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06)
