Manufacturing Engineering Technician (2nd Shift)

Scientia Vascular is a leading innovator and manufacturer of endovascular medical devices. The Manufacturing Engineering Technician supports manufacturing by identifying and solving technical challenges, assists in setting up production equipment, and performs preventative maintenance on production equipment.

Responsibilities

Provides daily support to manufacturing
Assist engineers with component and tooling implementation for production, including but not limited to equipment validation, component drawings and device bill of material
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment of intermediate/advanced complexity
Respond to intermediate equipment failures by troubleshooting and resolving the issue
Interface with the production personnel to actively troubleshoot production problems as well as continually improve the process
Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
Assist with the development of specifications, procurement, build, documentation, validation and personnel training on automated manufacturing equipment
Comply with applicable FDA and international regulatory laws and standards
Implement lean systems and improvements
Other duties as assigned with or without accommodation

Required

Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong written and oral communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
Must have experience troubleshooting equipment
Strong problem-solving skills and efficient management of time and resources
Required – at least 1 year of technician experience in a manufacturing environment
Ability to contribute and work successfully in a cross functional team environment

Preferred

Prior work experience in a medical device manufacturing environment
Experience using CAD software, specifically SolidWorks is a plus
