H&S Inside Sales Lead

The Health & Safety Inside Sales Lead is responsible for driving individual sales performance and mentoring the Inside Sales team, focusing on extensive outbound engagement and direct selling activities.

Responsibilities
Strive to meet or exceed individual and team performance sales targets
Sell Health & Safety products and services and identify new business opportunities primarily through outbound calls, emails, social media, bid alert boards, and similar channels
Conduct frequent and regular follow-up with prospects and the install base; assign and coordinate leads with appropriate Outside Sales representatives
Contact current customers to offer service, calibrations, trade-ins, upgrades, and to set appointments for Outside Sales when appropriate
Communicate the benefits of Health & Safety products by providing strong product knowledge during initial customer evaluations
Follow up on instrument inquiries and recent purchases to obtain immediate voice-of-customer (VOC) feedback
Assist with quotes, bids, and documentation for Health & Safety products
Manage or coordinate key account(s) when required
Accurately input and maintain lead and opportunity data in the CRM system
Serve as a day-to-day resource and point of escalation for Inside Sales Representatives
Train, mentor, and onboard new Inside Sales team members, including outbound calling best practices, call shadowing, and role-play scenarios
Share best practices, talk tracks, and competitive insights to help improve team performance
Support H&S Sales Manager by reinforcing processes, priorities, and performance expectations
Provide feedback to Sales and Marketing Management on customer trends, preferences, and competitive activity
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Associates or Technical degree required with 9+ years of Inside Sales, Customer Support or related experience, or Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of Inside Sales, Customer Support or related experience
Demonstrated success in high-volume outbound sales environments
Proficient with Microsoft Office tools
Experience using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
Strong phone presence and consultative selling skills
Active listener with a strong customer service orientation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
High level of integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction
Motivated by team success and continuous improvement
Inquisitive problem solver with strong technical aptitude
Preferred
Experience selling technical or instrumentation-based products
Experience with Salesforce CRM
Proven ability to close sales and generate revenue
Prior experience mentoring or training peers in a sales environment
