Security Officer - Utility Access Control

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer - Utility Access Control. In this role, you will monitor access points and patrol areas to ensure safety and security while providing exceptional customer service in a utilities-focused environment.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the facility, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering and exiting the location

Follow site-specific policies and procedures to help maintain a secure environment for employees, contractors, and visitors

Provide customer service by assisting visitors with directions and information, and responding to inquiries in a professional manner

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify appropriate personnel as needed

Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report irregularities

Document and report any security-related incidents, unusual occurrences, or maintenance issues observed during patrols or while monitoring access points

Support emergency response activities by following established protocols and coordinating with onsite personnel and Allied Universal management

Required

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
