Responsibilities

Delivering quality routine laboratory testing to OSUMC patients and clients as well as to the community
Interacting effectively with staff and clients
Processing samples, answering phones and filing
Maintaining and troubleshooting all laboratory needs related to Mysis, Atlas web based order entry software, E-Results and Customer service needs
Ordering and processing patient specimens using prescribed Mysis, Atlas methodology and instrumentation
Assisting with preparation of specimens for routine and STAT orders for chemistry, hematology, and coagulation analysis on blood, urine and other body fluids
Assisting Medical Technologists in other aspects of laboratory functions to include Quality Control, Quality Assurance and instrument maintenance
Participating in Mysis and Atlas continuing education activities scheduled by the laboratory
Assisting with training of new employees and students

Required

High School diploma or GED
Certification or vocational training may be required
1 year of relevant experience required
