Cisco Solutions Architect
Flywheel Data provides elite solution design and system integration primarily to the Federal Government. The Cisco Solutions Architect is responsible for assessing and troubleshooting customer technological solutions by designing, customizing, upgrading, and maintaining Cisco products and solutions, ensuring best-in-class customer service.

Responsibilities
Consult and collaborate with customers, Cisco stakeholders, and internal Account Managers to plan, design, install, configure, integrate and/or optimize Cisco’s suite of products
Analyze how users will interact with solutions
Develop detailed network diagrams, reference architectures, and solution proposals
Evaluate network requirements and translate them into scalable, secure technical designs
Conduct customer presentations, technical workshops, whiteboard sessions, and product demos
Ensure solution’s compatibility with existing customer infrastructure
Determine the hardware essential to support systems
Install and configure operating systems, software, and hardware components
Oversee the creation of specialized software and hardware needs
Standardize and automate processes using scripting
Identify potential issues and implement solutions proactively
Showcase the value of Cisco solutions to customers and internal team members
Ensure designs align with industry best practices (e.g., Cisco Validated Designs)
Drive customer technology transitions, influencing solutions and services
Translate business requirements into design
Build customer simulations to resolve/validate complex problems and compatibility issues
Stay up-to-date on software and product updates and new versions that affect customers
Maintain necessary Cisco certifications

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in IT, computer systems, software engineering, or relevant field
8+ years experience in an Enterprise IT environment
Cisco CCNP Enterprise certification required
Requires U.S. citizenship and active TS/SCI w/ Poly Federal Government Security Clearance
Must be proficient with managing Cisco core routing and switching products, including modern IOS-XE/NX-OS platforms, automation frameworks, SDN, and associated Cisco ecosystem software
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
Advanced understanding of operating systems, network security, and systems integration
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts at a basic level
Preferred
Master's degree
CCIE certification
