Love's Travel Stops is a family-owned business that has been fueling customers' journeys since 1964. They are offering a SkillBridge Internship for transitioning service members to support operations in truck care services, restaurant operations, and retail management while developing leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Work closely with store management and team members to understand daily operations, including restaurant, truck care, and retail services

Deliver exceptional service by engaging with customers and ensuring their needs are met with a positive attitude and attention to detail

Support merchandising initiatives to drive sales, optimize product placement, and maintain an appealing store environment

Execute leadership skills by assisting in team coordination, motivation, and training exercises

Work alongside management to explore career growth paths within Love’s and gain insights into various aspects of the retail management field

Required

Must be an active-duty service member

Must qualify for a 60 - 180-day SkillBridge Program

Must have approval from the first commander in chain of command

Ability to connect with customers, team members, and management effectively

Enthusiasm for leading a team, taking initiative, and demonstrating a strong work ethic

Comfortable in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment

Dedication for providing excellent customer service

Collaborative spirit and eagerness to learn from others

Physical Demands: Regular talking and hearing. Active involvement requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. Frequent lifting/moving of items over 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required
