Responsibilities

Conduct audits and review controls over H-GAC information technology and cybersecurity
Ensure that operations and documentation are consistent with NIST framework and the Texas Cybersecurity Framework
Help management implement best practices in information technology
Support and train other internal audit staff in using information technology as an auditing tool

Required

Degree in Information Systems, Cyber Security, or similar
Written and verbal communication skills to interact with H-GAC management and staff
Bachelor's degree in an applicable academic discipline or related field of study
5 years of experience working with local government, nonprofit programs, school, or in job-related duties

Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
CompTIA Security+
Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC)
Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
