Responsibilities
Assists the management team with strategic and tactical planning activities
Works with vendor relations staff and management team to assist with the development of the business terms in contract negotiations
Leads the team to align work efforts to meeting timelines and proactively manage any barriers to success
Participates in evaluating the staff competencies, performance and evaluations
Participates in developing the staff Performance / Development plans
Act as first level escalation point for staff
Facilitates cross-training of staff to assist in their career development, improve job satisfaction, and increase the collective expertise of the IT department
Leads by example, motivates and promotes positive team morale
Coordinates application upgrade schedule while adhering to AIT process/policy
Monitors, reviews and implements necessary process changes in collaboration with leadership team (i.e, trouble ticket trending, change management, work flow, documentation, cross training, etc.)
Demonstrate ingenuity, self-reliance and resourcefulness. Able to take needed action without direct instructions
Manages projects (i.e, team assignment, project lead, work load balancing, etc.)
Facilitates user processes improvement through system enhancements and optimization, i.e. automation of tasks
Pro-actively manage regulatory system requirements to meet required timelines. Possesses understanding of downstream impact of proposed system changes and works proactively with affected departments for effective and timely implementations. Understands impact of the system requirements/changes on the business unit operations
Possesses logical structured thinking abilities and can develop sound business cases to support planning and critical decision making
Advanced presentation and facilitation skills
Ability to assume team responsibility in decision making in the absence of the Director
Excellent communication skills; customer focused; excellent attention to detail; able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines; strong interpersonal skills; able to lead in the team environment
Assures the Information Technology (IT) needs support the goals and objectives of the customer as well as the business needs of AtlantiCare
Participates in system design, and Leads the validation and/or remediation sessions
Leads in the development of training materials, policies and procedures working in collaboration with other Technical Information Analysts
Ensures a smooth and thorough turnover process to technical and operational support
Performs other duties as assigned
Utilize the ITIL framework in the areas of incident, change and problem management services within AtlantiCare
Advanced experience with Microsoft office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required in Computer Science or Healthcare related field or Associates degree with 10 years healthcare information systems experience
Minimum five (5) years' experience with the application, module or equivalent systems as assigned
Advanced knowledge of the assigned applications in multiple functional areas
Expert knowledge of the assigned applications in at least two functional areas
Ability to mentor Analyst I and II and III
Minimum one (1) year experience managing medium to large projects
Valid New Jersey Driver's License
Advanced presentation and facilitation skills
