Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications and services, leveraging modern Java frameworks and best practices to build scalable, high-performance, and maintainable software solutions
Design, develop, and enhance complex software systems, including high-performance analytics, real-time systems, innovative algorithms, and large-scale data processing solutions
Recommend new technologies and processes to optimize complex software projects and drive innovation
Serve as the technical lead for multiple software development teams, guiding their work and ensuring alignment with project goals
Select appropriate software development processes in coordination with the customer and system engineering teams
Ensure quality control across all developed and modified software, maintaining the highest standards for reliability and performance
Delegate programming and testing responsibilities to teams and actively monitor their performance to ensure successful delivery
Collaborate individually and within teams to review, test, and refine software components, ensuring they meet rigorous design and performance standards
Troubleshoot and resolve software issues, delivering reliable, mission-critical solutions
Apply advanced software development methodologies and best practices tailored to each project's needs
Contribute to system-level design decisions, including hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse strategies, and leveraging COTS/GOTS solutions to maximize efficiency
Transform system requirements into actionable software components, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required. Alternatively, 4 additional years of relevant software engineering experience may substitute for a degree
20+ years in complex software programs and contracts, working on projects of similar scope and complexity
Proficiency with Java development is required
Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required
