Responsibilities

Design, manage, and implement break/fixes for any issues that arise within laptop/desktop computers or IP production equipment

Strong experience using Active Directory, GPO. Microsoft SQL would be a plus

Assist with application and desktop support, monitoring and maintaining all the Company’s computer systems

Must be able to assist with design and implementation of production floor projects. This can require a fair amount of time on the production floor where we produce bacon. Forklifts, conveyors, slicers, smokehouses, and other industrial machines are present

Perform routine preventative maintenance

Working with the Maintenance Department collaborate on network hardware installation projects

Assist Information Services team with remote Windows support responsibilities

Implement and follow best practices for networking department

Serve as a Help Desk resource for resolving Windows, Cat System, or other system issues, both during and after regular working hours

Create, maintain, and discover ways to automate any IT department processes leading to site consistency

Ability to write routine daily activity reports and correspondence and develop project schedules

Special project work as needed. Other duties within the department as assigned

Act as backup to the IT Manager

Required

2 to 5 years of IT Help Desk and or IT repair experience

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedures manuals, building/equipment drawings and schematics

Must be able to effectively communicate in English including reading, writing, and speaking

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form

Must be able to solve problems quickly and with good judgment

Ability to use computers and all standard programs used by the industry and the ability to learn and effective use all other computer programs that are or be made available

Ability to write routine daily activity reports and correspondence and develop project schedules

Ability to move about the facility

Ability to sit, use hand to finger coordination; handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 pounds, and seldom push or pull up to 100 pounds

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus

Ability to wear OSHA PPE
