Responsibilities
Following established procedures to test and adjust measuring instruments like gauges, meters, scales, and other specialized equipment against known reference standards to include equipment specifications
Recording calibration results, identifying deviations from standards, and documenting findings in detailed reports
Identifying and resolving issues affecting instrument accuracy, including potential malfunctions or environmental factors
Performing routine cleaning and preventative maintenance on calibration equipment to ensure optimal functionality
Adhering to industry regulations and quality standards related to calibration practices
Maintaining accurate calibration records and documentation for traceability purposes
Providing training to other personnel on proper usage and care of calibrated equipment
Qualification
Required
Previous working experience in a production environment
Able to follow written and verbal instructions
Attention to detail with good organizational skills
Basic computer skills: Familiarity with data management software to record and track calibration details
Technical knowledge: Understanding of measurement principles, different types of instruments, and their applications
Preferred
Associates degree preferred with five years experience
High school diploma with some post secondary training and equivalent on the job work experience of at least three to five years
