Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based software solutions from concept to deployment

Analyze requirements and translate them into scalable, secure designs

Balance cost, capability, availability, and resilience in cloud architectures

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex technical issues

Review and generate technical designs to ensure accuracy and completeness

Help plan projects by defining tasks, timelines, and technical approaches

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members

Required

8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience across the full development lifecycle, including design, development, integration, testing, deployment, and troubleshooting

6+ years of experience developing in high-level languages such as Java, C, or C++

Proven experience with open-source, distributed NoSQL technologies (e.g., HBase, Accumulo, BigTable) supporting large-scale, parallel processing

5+ years of software development on UNIX/Linux (Red Hat 3-5) platforms

3+ years of experience in software integration and testing, including creating and executing test plans and scripts

Strong technical writing skills, with experience producing clear, accurate project documentation

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field (e.g., Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering)

AWS Certified Developer - Associate

AWS DevOps Engineer - Professional

Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)

Elastic Certified Engineer

Active TS/SCI clearance with current polygraph
