Research Specialist (NCJR) (Open to UNO Employees Only)
The University of Nebraska at Omaha is seeking a Research Specialist to work under the general direction of the Director of the Nebraska Center for Justice Research. The role involves providing research and data analysis for statewide projects, developing research designs, and engaging with community activities.

Responsibilities
Provide research, coordination, data analysis and related services for statewide research and technical assistance projects
Participates in developing research designs, data collection methods, strategies for data management, strategies for project coordination, and documents technical assistance provision
Writes and edits reports and manuscripts, develops and monitors reports, and works with funding agencies
Travels, as needed, for community engagement activities
Other duties as assigned to successfully execute large, team-based research and community-engagement projects
Qualification
Required
PhD preferred in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Sociology or related field in the social sciences
Two to four years of criminology and/or criminal justice research experience is preferred
Experience in coordination and/or technical assistance if preferred
Expertise in a variety of research methods and statistical techniques is required
Experience in SPSS, EXCEL, or other analysis software is desired
