Responsibilities

Help establish and drive the vision and strategic growth for JPA’s public health team, with a particular focus on leading integrated public affairs PR campaigns

Serve as internal and external ambassador amongst clients, teams, and potential partners

Lead and manage teams and clients across the public health PR portfolio

Mentor and develop our public health team, including supporting professional development and mentoring

Develop a new business pipeline by leading opportunities for organic growth, while identifying and going after new business targets and leading responses to RFIs and RFPs

Oversee client teams with an understanding of best practices, ROI, and quality of service for PR campaigns

Translate insights into strategies and tactical programming

Foster and lead collaboration and conversations with teams as well as internal and external partners to establish and implement growth strategies

Ensure fiscal management and profitability, and accurate forecasting of staff time across projects

Required

Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent directly relevant experience

10 to 12 years in marketing communications building and implementing strategic campaigns for foundations, professional societies, coalitions and others working in the non-profit arenas

Marketing communications agency account experience in public affairs is required

Track record of successfully leading and driving new business efforts as well as developing teams and talent

Expertise in budget oversight, fiscal management, and achieving financial targets

Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring and building high-performing teams

Effective management of multiple clients and account teams

Strong management and organizational skills are required

Deep understanding of the evolving public health and public affairs landscape
