Responsibilities

Support Personal Development: Provide individualized coaching to employees, especially high-potential and leadership-level individuals, focusing on self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and personal growth
Enhance Core Competencies: Use coaching tools and techniques to support development in key areas such as communication, adaptability, and conflict resolution
Facilitate Behavioral Change: Help employees overcome performance barriers, improve engagement, and develop positive workplace habits aligned with Hilmar’s core values through 1:1 coaching and facilitated group coaching labs focused on practicing and applying skills learned in L&D programs
Leadership Coaching: Deliver targeted coaching for emerging leaders and key talent to strengthen leadership capabilities, such as strategic thinking, decision-making, and team management
Collaborate with L&D Facilitators: Coordinate with the L&D team to align coaching outcomes with learning initiatives and reinforce application of competencies taught in training
Support Employee Well-Being: Promote a growth mindset and resilience by supporting employees through challenges, helping them navigate change, and fostering overall emotional well-being

Required

Bachelor's degree plus 3 years' related experience or equivalent experiences
Three years' experience in coaching, leadership development, or employee development
Comfort facilitating or participating in group-based discussions or learning experiences
Certification in coaching methodologies (e.g., ICF, Gallup CliftonStrengths, EQ-i, or equivalent) or able to obtain in first 3-6 months
Demonstrated experience in supporting culture change, performance management, or engagement initiatives
Ability to use coaching assessments and diagnostics to guide development planning (e.g., 360 feedback, emotional intelligence assessments, leadership assessments)
Strong interpersonal communication, empathy, and active listening skills
Familiarity with core competency development, behavioral science, and emotional intelligence frameworks

Preferred

Master's degree in Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, or related field
Five years of coaching or leadership development experience in a corporate or manufacturing environment
Experience facilitating group conversations such as workshops, retrospectives, learning sessions, coaching circles, or guided discussions
Certification in assessment tools and from a recognized coaching body (e.g., ICF, PCC or MCC, Gallup Global Strengths Coach, EQ-i 2.0/360, Hogan, DiSC, etc.)
Experience coaching employees across a range of levels, including frontline leaders, mid-level managers, and senior leader
Familiarity with competency models and how they align with coaching, leadership development, and performance frameworks
Knowledge of adult learning principles, change management, and organizational development strategies
Experience working within learning and development teams to coordinate programs and reinforce training content through coaching
