Responsibilities

Cloud Architecture: Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions based on client requirements, industry best practices, and security guidelines
Security & Compliance: Ensure cloud environments adhere to security standards, including encryption, identity management, and access control, in compliance with government and regulatory policies
Automation & Optimization: Develop automated workflows and scripts to streamline cloud operations. Optimize cloud resources for cost efficiency and performance
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, network engineers, and security professionals to integrate cloud solutions seamlessly into existing infrastructures
Troubleshooting & Support: Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for cloud-based systems, resolving issues quickly and efficiently
Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain documentation related to cloud architecture, processes, and security measures. Regularly report on cloud performance, incidents, and improvements
Continuous Learning: Stay current with the latest trends and advancements in cloud technologies and cybersecurity practices

Required

Must hold a current, active Secret Clearance
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
Must be a U.S. Citizen
3+ years of experience in cloud engineering and administration
Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or similar)
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS)
Strong understanding of cloud security practices, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and compliance
Experience with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes)
Strong proficiency with Linux/Unix and Windows Server environments
Experience with automation and scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
Familiarity with networking protocols and firewall management in a cloud environment
Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools

Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect
Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
