Responsibilities
Represent employers in labor and employment matters, including wage and hour claims, discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wrongful termination, and FMLA/ADA issues, and claims unique to public sector employment
Handle traditional labor law matters including collective bargaining negotiations, investigations, and grievances
Regular employer counseling for a wide variety of employment / labor law related issues
Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery
Conduct depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and hearings
Manage cases from intake through resolution
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and courts
Contribute to case strategy and firm growth
Qualification
Required
J.D. from an accredited law school
Licensed and in good standing in New Jersey mandatory. Pennsylvania or New York a plus
Demonstrated experience in labor and employment law
Strong legal writing, research, and advocacy skills
Ability to manage a caseload independently while collaborating with a team
Commitment to client-centered representation
Preferred
Trial or arbitration experience
Employment Counseling Experience
Experience with federal and state employment laws
