Viking Partners Management is a private equity firm specializing in commercial real estate. The Acquisitions Associate will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and closing real estate deals while conducting due diligence and building strong industry relationships.

Responsibilities

Identify viable real estate acquisitions through market and online research, market visits, leveraging broker networks, and other relationships in the real estate industry

Responsible for underwriting each deal and overseeing the input and completion of the financial models by the analyst

Responsible for formulating a business plan, overseeing, and assisting in the due diligence process

Present potential deals to executive management for review and approval

Assist in joint venture agreements

Assist in negotiations and communications with sellers and brokers

Work with legal counsel on all aspects of the deal, including identification of legal matters at target properties

Lead the closing of real estate transactions

Develop and cultivate relationships in the real estate industry, including brokers, national tenants, JV partners, capital sources, and institutional firms

Attend and participate in major industry conferences

Conduct site visits, tenant interviews, and manage all 3rd party vendors

Review all pertinent information, including leases, financial information, title documents, and property documents, for any potential issues

Work with legal counsel on all aspects of due diligence

Prepare due diligence report and present to the acquisitions team and leadership

Assist acquisitions in the closing of the property

Prepare transition report and present to the asset management team
