Responsibilities

Demonstrated knowledge and practice of culturally responsive teaching and learning

Experience teaching science, and / or math, including knowledge of middle school learners and developmentally appropriate classroom management skills

Collaborative, flexible colleague with Middle School teaching experience, with an ability to teach the full range of learners from grades 6 through 8

Clear communicator with students, colleagues, and parents

Demonstrated knowledge of social/emotional development and developmentally appropriate curriculum for culturally responsive teaching and learning

Demonstrated understanding of and curiosity regarding curriculum design, varied pedagogical approaches as well as different styles and types of assessment

Strong organizational skills

Knowledge of appropriate use of technology to enhance the learning experience
