CRE Credit Analyst
Columbia Bank is seeking a CRE Credit Analyst to support the Underwriters and Relationship Managers in managing the Commercial Real Estate Division’s loan portfolio. The role involves reviewing and analyzing credit data for commercial real estate loans, handling financial reporting, and contributing to underwriting new loan originations.

Responsibilities
Support team of CRE Underwriters. Collaborate with CRE Underwriters and production staff to manage financial reporting ticklers and covenant compliance per operating procedure guidelines
Complete risk ratings for term loan reviews and credit actions in support of Underwriters
Ensure accuracy of items in credit file. Responsible for timely financial reporting and elevate delinquencies to UW and RM
Review and analyze various third-party documents and reports, including property financial statements, rent rolls, appraisals, environmental reports, personal credit reports, title reports, and borrowing entity structures
Complete site inspections as requested and prepare site inspection reports addressing property condition, occupancy levels, surrounding uses, and general quality of collateral
Independently prepare Term Loan Reviews for assigned relationships in conformance with operating procedure guidelines
Remain up to date on Bank and CRED underwriting procedures and identify exceptions to policy or guidelines
Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes
Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training
Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation P, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description
May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or another related field or equivalent
Strong desire to develop financial analysis skills and CRE underwriting skills
Basic ability to analyze financial and non-financial statements and tax returns
Ability to independently handle financial reporting and analysis of assigned relationships, collaborating with UW and RM
Demonstrate excellent organization and time management skills
Ability to take initiative with minimal direction, to work on multiple tasks simultaneously, and to meet deadlines
Possess solid analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and work well in a team environment
Preferred
Less than 2 years of financial analyst in support of commercial or CRE lending platform
Experience with complex loan structures a plus
Proficient skills in spreadsheet and word processing software (Excel and Word preferred)
