Responsibilities
Work within an analog/mixed-signal design team based in Colorado Springs or Wilmington MA, and other locations worldwide
The successful candidate will work closely with other cross-functional teams to define, implement and introduce products to our customers. Teams include business, applications, product definition, product engineering, layout, test engineering, project management, CAD/EDA, etc
Lead medium and high-complexity ICs from architecture selection to implementation and debugging, managing analog and digital teams
Mixed-mode IC top-level/block design, transistor-level circuit design and simulation
Use recommended design and verification techniques, tools & flows to produce efficient designs which meet specifications
Successful integration of blocks into larger mixed-signal systems
Support other development team functions, such as layout, application, and test, to ensure successful delivery and meeting all requirements
Perform hands-on evaluation of ICs in the lab
Qualification
Required
M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, 10+ years' experience as analog circuit designer
Strong fundamentals in analog and mixed-signal design, tools and flows
Design experience with circuits such as amplifiers, DACs, ADCs, bandgaps, bias circuits, LDOs, and switching power supply circuits
Experience in leading complex and large Mixed-Signal ICs
Good understanding of power supply control architectures
Knowledge of BCD process technologies
Understand digital IC design
Understand physical phenomena such as latch-up, HCI degradation, and other reliability issues
Strong interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills are required
Ability to take ownership of top-level subsystems and integration in the mixed-signal environment
Travel to support product definition should be expected
Good level of understanding of the English language, both written and spoken
