Perianesthesia Tech - Interventional Platform (Full-Time, 8-Hour Rotating Shifts)
Stanford Health Care is a leading healthcare provider, and they are seeking a Perianesthesia Tech to join their team. This role involves providing basic care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and assisting anesthesiologists with patient transfers and readiness for procedures.

Responsibilities
Assists anesthesiologists transferring patients 'beyond the red line' within the Interventional Platform (Operating and Procedure rooms), including ICU transport, with anesthesiologist
Reports patient information
Communicates with IP staff for patient readiness to proceed to OR/Procedure room
Assists patients with going to the bathroom, if needed, before taking the patient to the OR
Assists with P/P (Pre/Post) bay turnover
Cleans and dresses the patient gurney
Stocks bedside supplies and helps move supplies and equipment within the unit or IP (Interventional Platform) to facilitate immediate patient care
Secures and retrieves patient belongings from patient lockers
Assists in maintaining the unit environment in a clean and orderly condition
Transfers patients safely in a manner that complies with Hospital guidelines
Performs basic patient care as needed under the direction and supervision of an RN/LVN
Adheres to the standards of nursing care and the policies and procedures of the Hospital and Nursing Department. Carries out all responsibilities following Hospital safety guidelines for self, patient, visitors, and employees
Completes orientation program and participates in learning activities to maintain and improve knowledge and skills
Contributes in a positive manner to the unit, department, and hospital goals
Performs duties as assigned to facilitate a clean, safe, orderly unit and patient care environment
With manager approval, may perform specific skills after documented instruction
Recognizes and addresses age-appropriate and cultural needs when caring for patients
Effectively communicates and interacts with patients, families, staff, and members of the community from diverse backgrounds
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
One year of directly related work experience
Ability and willingness to be taught/learn new skills
Ability to be a team player
Ability to be flexible in assignment and able to work different shifts if required
Ability to demonstrate customer service skills in interactions with all patients, families and staff, including high volume and stressful situations
Ability to learn and evaluate new equipment and procedures quickly
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Ability to perform basic arithmetic computations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
Ability to problem-solve effectively using appropriate resources. Is productive in workflow, skills, and organization
Ability to provide appropriate care based on the needs of the individual taking into consideration age, culture, and developmental issues
Ability to provide care as needed and as described in the department's policies and procedures
Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English effectively at a level appropriate for the job
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with individuals of diverse cultural backgrounds
Ability to maneuver beds, wheelchairs, stretchers, and other equipment as needed
Knowledge of basic nursing and medical terminology
Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area
Knowledge of location, operation and maintenance of common equipment and supplies located in the unit
Knowledge of facility layout, unit locations, and room numbering system for efficient transfer
Knowledge of role in emergency response
Knowledge of unit practices, and procedures regarding infection control and health and safety
Knowledge of hospital safety and safety code measures during the transport of patients
