Director I, Project Management of Strategic Initiatives
The Alameda County Office of Education (ACOE) is dedicated to innovating in the classroom and supporting community schools. The Director I, Project Management of Strategic Initiatives will design and implement strategic projects to enhance educational opportunities for vulnerable and system-involved youth across Alameda County.

Responsibilities
Acts as an advisor and thought partner by structuring undefined issues for resolution, researching and reconciling issues, and analyzing and summarizing information to make sound decisions
Leads and/or partners with other leaders to advance initiatives and projects that achieve the organization and/or Division strategic goals
Leads and participates in committees for project planning and implementation
Manages the coordination of Division leadership activities, including collaborating on agenda, review of relevant materials, pre-meeting briefing, and post-meeting follow-up with Executive staff
Supervises administrative staff and assigns projects and assignments
Establishes metrics and dashboards to monitor progress of strategic initiatives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
Minimum of 5 years professional work experience in project management and/or business administration is required
A combination of education and job-related experience equivalent to the above qualifications
Preferred
School Business and/or operations experience is preferred
Strong communications experience is highly desirable
