The role involves collaboration with Sales, Production, and Customers to ensure tooling is designed and delivered accurately and on schedule.

Responsibilities

Design and Quote custom CBN, PCD, SCD and Indexable cutting tools
Collect data by interfacing with customers and sales to help make a selection of tool type
Gather manufacturing and engineering data to effectively evaluate production feasibility of the customer request and provide accurate quotations to the customer
Communicate directly with customers regarding quotations, applications, and design details
Request material quotes for materials when needed
Make engineering changes to existing designs
Other duties as assigned

Required

Ability to read blueprints
Knowledge of cutting tool series application understanding
Must have MS office skills
Ability to read and understand blueprints
Ability to demonstrate a high level of spatial awareness and ability to conceptualize complex geometry
Excellent oral/written communication skills
Strong organizational skills and an attention to detail

Preferred

BS in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering
Machining experience
CBN, PCD, and SCD background
SolidWorks experience
Computer programming experience
