Responsibilities

Apply broad knowledge of principles and practices in land development
Independently evaluate, select and adapt standard techniques, procedures and criteria
Design complete projects, systems, components or processes
Prepare advanced general and basic non-routine engineering designs and/or technical data for completion and accuracy
Prepare complete project documents
Analyze and interpret data, formulate and solve problems
Prepare scopes of work, budgets and schedule assignments
Assist with proposal development for professional services
Provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure successful project outcomes
Plan, coordinate, and oversee engineering tasks, ensuring appropriate delegation to junior team members while maintaining quality and efficiency
Present project components in internal and client meetings
Work within AutoCAD Civil 3D to successfully complete projects within established budgets and deadlines
Conduct field investigations and site visits as required
Perform grading, utility, and stormwater designs, calculations and reports from concept through permitting

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)
3-5 years of relevant experience
EIT required
Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, Storm Sewers and other related software packages, as applicable
Demonstrate general computer skills, knowledge and acumen (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite)
Ability to effectively lead and mentor junior staff, delegate tasks, and foster a collaborative team environment
Ability to learn and apply technical skills and knowledge
Demonstrate advanced, general and basic non-routine knowledge of engineering concepts, theories, principles and practices
Demonstrate basic speaking skills to communicate general technical ideas, concepts and information to a technical and nontechnical audience
Demonstrate advanced technical and nontechnical writing, editing and proofreading skills
Demonstrate effective communication skills, both oral and written for the purpose of client, contractor and co-worker interactions
