Responsibilities

Responsible for all aspects of the operation of MEDCOM, assuring a professional and consistent standard of all communications for Atlantic and Cape May Counties, and all affiliated regional service areas as needed
Responsible for accurately maintaining MEDCOM reports and logs
Disbursing incoming paperwork to proper files and personnel and completing thorough shift reports
Orienting and training new personnel and assisting all departments as needed
Supporting organizational goals by providing quality customer service
Participating in performance improvement efforts
Demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation

Qualification

New Jersey Emergency Medical DispatcherBLS certificationEmergency Medical Technician BasicNational Incident Command CoursesClinical Applications proficiencyCustomer serviceTeamworkCommunication skills

Required

High School graduate or equivalent
Current New Jersey Emergency Medical Dispatcher and 911 Certification required within 3 months from date of hire or transfer
Current BLS certification (professional rescuer or health care provider level) required within one month of hire or transfer
Current Emergency Medical Technician Basic certification required within one year of hire
Proof of completing National Incident Command Courses ICS 100 and IS 700

Preferred

Knowledge of local EMS, and Aero Medical Systems and EMS radio communications
Proficiency in Clinical Applications
