Senior Process Engineer
TAI is a full-service, multi-disciplinary engineering and construction firm. The Senior Process Engineer position is responsible for leading a new process engineering team, managing engineering design projects, and supporting business development efforts.
Responsibilities
The Senior Process Engineer position is responsible for growth and leadership of a new process engineering team
Responsible for startup and growth of a regional process engineering team with support from corporate process engineering management and resources
Perform at a senior engineering level for selected projects
Responsible for planning, organizing, and performing process engineering design, including researching codes and standards, preparing engineering calculations, preparing studies and analyses, and preparing preliminary and detailed engineering design documents
Responsible for managing scope of work, budget, and schedule for process engineering and design in the regional office
Direct CAD designers for the preparation of construction drawings
Perform design quality control
Provide subject matter expertise for teams and projects
Comply with corporate standards for project management
Comply with corporate process engineering and design standards
Comply with corporate safety and quality control programs
Provide mentorship to enhance the growth and advancement of staff
Provide participation and oversight of candidate interview and selection process
Bring knowledge and creativity to the position as well as discipline to drive results and follow established fundamental processes
Attend site walks and on-site meetings
Collaborate with the business development team across all TAI capabilities and service lines, contributing to proposals, client engagements, and discussions on TAI’s process engineering expertise and technical approach
Assist in engineering fee estimation for opportunities identified by the business development team
Liaison with corporate managers for process engineering scope and fee development
Manage relationships of existing process clients to promote maintenance and growth of those relationships
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
Professional Engineering Licensure or the ability to obtain a PE
Minimum 10 years of process, mechanical, or related engineering design experience
Minimum 5 years of consulting engineering experience
Minimum 3 years of applicable experience managing projects, including collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams, conducting quality control reviews, and coordinating interdisciplinary efforts
Proficiency in PFD and P&ID development, equipment, piping, instrument, and support specifications, layout and design
Proficiency in industry codes and standards
Familiarity with a broad range of process, mechanical, instrumentation and control systems
Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
Entrepreneurial spirit with the proven ability to help grow and develop business
Ability to perform field work that will include walking, kneeling, sitting, standing, climbing stairs and/or ladders
Willingness to travel to client sites
Willingness to work in the regional office at least two days per week
Ability to interact with customers to gather critical information
Ability to multitask
Ability to promote a team environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, good customer relation skills, a positive work attitude, and willingness to learn new skills

History of experience in semiconductor or chemical industries preferred
