The role involves assisting faculty with grading, responding to student inquiries, and monitoring course discussions, with assignments lasting 7 to 15 weeks on an on-call basis.

Responsibilities

Timely reviewing and grading of assignments (including providing feedback to students)
Monitoring student participation and managing violations
Alerting the instructor to possible plagiarism, copying or other academic integrity violations that were detected while grading
Entering grades into the D2L course LMS
Monitoring discussion boards and responding to student comments
Responding to student inquiries and/or using the UA's LMS (D2L)
Holding regularly scheduled office hours in a virtual environment

Qualification

Master's degree in MISExperience in data analyticsLearning Management SystemsWekaExcelIntroductory machine learningStudent centric attitudeReliableExperience teaching college coursesCommunication skillsSelf-motivated

Required

Master's degree or higher in MIS or related field
Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience
Communication skills (both verbal and written)
Student centric attitude
Reliable and self-motivated

Preferred

Experience in MIS, data analytics, or healthcare informatics
Experience with Weka, Excel, and introductory machine learning concepts
Experience teaching and/or facilitating college level courses
Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
