Client Operations Analyst (contract)

They are seeking a Client Service Operations Analyst to support day-to-day operations across commercial paper settlements, funds transfers, and security settlements, focusing on exception management and client issue resolution.

Responsibilities

Execute end-to-end settlement processes for commercial paper, securities, and funds transfers, ensuring accuracy, adherence to market cutoffs, and compliance with procedures
Monitor, investigate, and resolve breaks, exceptions, and inquiries across cash, securities, and commercial paper workflows; perform daily reconciliations and maintain audit trails
Manage internal and external client inquiries, provide clear and professional communication, and proactively follow up on issues to resolution
Ensure adherence to operational risk and control frameworks, maintain evidence of key controls, and support audit requirements
Partner with Operations, Client Service, Risk/Compliance, and Technology teams to resolve complex issues, support onboarding, and implement remediation plans
Prepare procedural documentation, metrics, and reporting; support testing for system enhancements, operational changes, and BCP exercises

Required

5+ years of hands-on experience in commercial paper settlements, funds transfers, and security settlements within the financial services industry
Proven client service experience supporting internal stakeholders and external institutional clients
Strong ability to operate within tight timelines and market cutoffs
Exceptional attention to detail with a strong controls and risk mindset
Experience handling exceptions, investigations, and reconciliations
Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUP

Preferred

Knowledge of DTC market infrastructure
Familiarity with market utilities and messaging (e.g., SWIFT, Fedwire, DTCC/NSCC)
Experience supporting institutional clients such as asset managers, banks, or broker-dealers
Exposure to process improvement initiatives and KPI/metric reporting
