Executive Director - Trade Association Management

They are seeking an Associate Executive Director/Account Executive to manage and support several trade association clients, focusing on strategic, operational, and financial management.

Responsibilities

Work closely with the Board of Directors to develop and execute the associations’ strategic plans to ensure alignment with their missions
Manage day-to-day operations, including administration, programs, and meeting planning
Work with committees to carry out their initiatives addressing industry education, promotional projects, and standards development, among others
Develop and manage annual budgets, ensure fiscal responsibility, and identify revenue-generating opportunities
Implement strategies for member recruitment, retention, and engagement
Plan and attend in-person and virtual meetings
Prepare agendas, minutes, and implement action plans from meetings

Required

Bachelor's Degree required and five years of relevant work experience
Self-starter with ability to manage through complex or undefined situations
Enthusiastic and service-oriented professional
Excellent written and verbal skills. Able to draft minutes from meetings in a concise and clear way
Ability to be a spokesperson and represent an industry before various audiences
Possess strong project and team management skills for the day-to-day management of internal client team(s) and association projects
Ability to successfully manage multiple clients, partners, and projects
Ability to moderate meetings and provide the necessary guidance to achieve consensus
Experience drafting budgets and implementing financial plans
Ability to interface with executive leadership, establish credibility, and build effective relationships

Preferred

Experience working with associations is not required
Local candidates preferable
