Creative Strategist
Uproot Clean is a fast growing, performance driven consumer brand built for pet owners. They are seeking a performance creative strategist to own and scale paid social creative across Meta, TikTok, and AppLovin, leading a team of editors and designers to drive growth through effective creative strategies.

Responsibilities
Own paid social creative strategy across Meta, TikTok, and AppLovin that will support $500k in monthly ad spend for your Pod
Work directly with the Content team to ensure we have the right set of content
Define angles, hooks, formats, and testing priorities by channel
Translate performance data into clear creative direction
Continuously evolve strategy based on results, not opinions
Write a minimum of:
4 detailed video briefs per day for video editors
Provide same-day feedback on each to editors based on their output
3 detailed static ad briefs per day for the graphic designer
Provide same-day feedback on each to designers based on their output
Briefs must include:
Clear objective and hypothesis
Hook and opening direction
Script
You’re expected to write scripts on your own, but will also have access to our internal copywriters for longer form or scripts covering complex topics
Messaging and structure guidance
Visual references or examples where relevant
Clear naming conventions
You’re expected to drive the creative strategy, not the editor. The editor is the executor that can fill in gaps, but the final ad has to match your vision
Manage and direct a team of 5 creatives
Ensure consistent output, quality, and speed
Give clear feedback and direction, quickly and directly
Raise the creative bar over time
Work daily with the media buyer to review performance
Understand core metrics like CPA, CTR, hold rate, thumb stop, and creative fatigue
Independently navigate Facebook Ads Manager to pull insights
Identify winning patterns and scale them systematically
Write short form ad copy and scripts where needed
Ensure creative and copy work together as one system, and that messaging makes sense across the whole funnel
Collaborate with an internal copywriters for longer or more complex scripts
Deep understanding of direct response copywriting principles
Strong instinct for identifying good copy vs bad copy, fast and accurately
Ability to diagnose •why• copy works or fails, not just whether it works
Comfortable editing, rewriting, and tightening copy to improve clarity, hooks, and conversion
Understands how copy, visuals, and structure work together to drive performance
Can give clear, actionable feedback to copywriters and creatives to raise quality
Establish creative testing frameworks
Build repeatable processes for ideation, testing, feedback, and iteration
Enforce strong naming conventions to support clean tracking and analysis
Create feedback loops that actually improve output
Qualification
Required
Proven experience creating performance driven paid social creative
Deep understanding of Meta ads, TikTok ads, and creative testing
Experience directing editors and designers, not just making ads yourself
Ability to think creatively and analytically at the same time
Comfortable inside Facebook Ads Manager
Extremely high output and reliability
Strong written communication, especially in briefs
Ownership mindset, you do not wait to be told what to do
Must work US EST hours (8am - 5pm EST)
Must have a fixed, reliable workspace
Consistent daily output is non negotiable
