Responsibilities
Utilize Bentley’s Microstation or OpenRoads software to develop and refine 3D models, alignments, profiles, corridors, and cross-sections for transportation projects
Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including engineers, architects, and project managers, to integrate design elements into comprehensive project plans
Prepare detailed drawings, plans, and technical specifications for roadway, highway, and transit infrastructure projects
Conduct thorough design reviews, constructability assessments, and quality control checks to ensure designs align with project objectives and regulatory standards
Contribute to the preparation of project reports, presentations, and client communications to ensure effective project delivery
Stay current with industry trends, software advancements, and best practices related to OpenRoads, applying new knowledge to enhance project outcomes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field
EIT in New Jersey or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
Field inspection and verification on DOT projects primarily on bridges
Development of reports and reporting process during project delivery
Scheduling expertise for all project scheduling – primavera
OSHA 30 certification is required
A minimum of 1 year of experience in transportation engineering, with a strong focus on roadway design, alignment optimization, and geometric design
Familiarity with design standards and guidelines, including AASHTO, FHWA, NJDOT, and NJTA
Strong technical skills in MicroStation, AutoCAD/Civil 3D, and the Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent communication skills, with proven teamwork and problem-solving abilities
